A Tour of the "Old" Part of Town

A couple days ago we went to the "old" part of the city.  Here are some pictures of what we saw and did there...

Some people bathing and washing clothes in the "lake" that runs through the city

Some "shundori" (beautiful) gals standing with me on the bridge across the lake

The Parliament Building...another capital checked off the list!

A really old H.ndu Temple...one of the few in this city.  I actually saw my people who I am going to be serving there!

A tomb of an important Mugal

Check out the crowded street!
We took a boat ride (type of boat pictured 3 pictures below) on a branch of the Ganges River.  It was very relaxing!
Then we toured a boat like this one.  It reminded me of the Branson Belle.  Apparently people (especially during this time of year) take a boat like this down the river to the south part of the country.  The trip takes 24 hours!
The busy dock!
This is the type of boat we rode in
Zoom!
